Short answer
The free rating checks the photos on your Tinder profile: lighting, framing, sharpness, eye contact and how many people are in each frame. Photos without a serious fault go first, sorted by score, so the strongest photo is the one people see first. It does not read your bio or rate your looks.
Your first photo does most of the work
Tinder shows your first photo on your card. People see the rest only if they tap through, so the first photo has to work on its own. Tinder's own advice matches what the audit checks: no group shots, no sunglasses, nothing blurry, in focus and facing forward. The audit flags those faults, plus backlighting and a face too small in the frame. Smart Photos and your order
If you turn on Tinder's Smart Photos setting, Tinder changes which photo people see first and moves your most-liked photo to the front. With it on, the order you set is where Tinder starts, not where it stays. That makes the cut more important than the order: remove the weak photos, so any photo Tinder leads with is one you are happy to show first.
How this differs from Tinder's Photo Selector
Tinder's Photo Selector looks through your camera roll on your phone and suggests photos, based on things like lighting and composition, and it filters out group photos. It picks for you. This audit works on the photos you have already chosen: it gives each one a score, names the fault that costs it points, and suggests an order, so you can see why a photo is weak and what to reshoot.
How many photos to use
Tinder requires at least one clear photo of your face in many regions. Beyond that, four to six good photos usually beat a full grid of mixed ones, because a weak photo lowers the impression of the whole set. If the audit flags a photo with a hard fault and you have others that do the same job, leave it out.
What a free Tinder profile review can't do
The scores measure the photograph. They do not notice a messy room in the background, tell which person in a group is you, or check whether all your photos show the same scene. They do not rate attractiveness or predict matches. 1. opener
Solo, front-lit, face at 14.3% of the frame, eyes near the lens, and a background that says where you were rather than nothing at all. The strongest one-second read you have.
2. full-body
Answers the full-body question immediately after the opener and doubles as the interest shot: pack, boots, ridge.
3. activity
Different setting, different distance, the best expression in the set, and props a stranger can ask about.
4. social
Proves the social life. Fourth is the right slot for it — never earlier, given your face is 1.5% of the frame uncropped.
